Green siding? Black streaks? Soft washing fixes it — safely.
That green film on the north side of your house and the dark streaks under your gutters are algae, mold and mildew. In Westchester County and Greenwich, with our tree cover and humid summers, almost every home gets it eventually.
Blasting siding with high pressure can crack vinyl, strip paint, force water behind your siding and damage windows. Soft washing works differently: we apply a house-safe cleaning solution at low pressure that breaks down organic growth at the source, then gently rinse it away. The result is a clean, bright home — and the growth takes much longer to come back.

How we protect your home and landscaping
We pre-rinse plants and shrubs before we start and rinse them again when we’re done. We close windows, work carefully around lights and outlets, and keep the pressure low on delicate surfaces. You get a clean home without damage to anything around it.
Why soft wash your house?
It looks like new paint. Most customers are surprised by how bright their siding really is. A soft wash is one of the most affordable ways to boost curb appeal before selling, hosting or simply enjoying your home.
It protects your investment. Algae and mildew hold moisture against your siding and trim. Removing it helps prevent staining, rot and premature wear — and is the right first step before any exterior painting.

House Soft Washing FAQ
What’s the difference between soft washing and pressure washing?
Pressure washing uses high-pressure water to clean hard surfaces like concrete. Soft washing uses low pressure and a cleaning solution to safely kill and remove algae, mold and mildew from siding and other delicate surfaces.
Is soft washing safe for plants and pets?
Yes. We rinse plants before and after cleaning and use solutions diluted for house washing. We just ask that pets stay inside while we work.
How long does a soft wash last?
Most homes stay clean for one to two years, depending on shade and moisture. Soft washing lasts longer than pressure washing because it treats the growth at the root.
Do I need to be home for a house wash?
No. As long as we have access to an outdoor water spigot and your windows are closed, we can complete the job while you’re out.
